The design & build process

We offer the flexibility to take responsibility for every aspect of your project (the complete turn-key solution) or specific parts of it – whichever suits your needs best.

1. Initial Discussion

Your first meeting with us will be with one of our most experienced team members who will talk with you about your wants and needs. What would you like to use your building for? Do you need offices or accommodation facilities? All of this and more will be discussed in this initial meeting.

2. Budget Estimate

We will consider all your requirements and compose a budget estimate, fully informing you upfront what is included and what is not included in our package, so there are no surprises or hidden costs.

3. Free-of-charge Concept Design

Our specialist in-house design team will draw up a free-of-charge preliminary design of your building so you can see what it could look like.

4. Inclusions and Exclusions

We’ll meet with you to discuss any adjustments you would like to be included or excluded in your specific project. For example; landscaping, internal fit out, concrete driveway etc…

5. Prelim Contract/Final Contract

When you are happy to proceed, we will meet with you to sign a preliminary contract, which enables us to begin conducting the structural and technical engineering reports needed by councils to ensure the project meets their requirements. This also allows us to provide you with a fixed price contract.

6. Council Liaison

This can be the most time-consuming and potentially frustrating part of any building project. Leave it to us. Our experienced research team knows exactly what needs to be done and can handle all of the complex and time-consuming paperwork and communication for you.

7. Timetable

We will provide you with a timetable, giving you the key dates and milestones of your project, ensuring that all aspects are up to our excellent quality standards and completed within the agreed timeframes. We will also let you know when you can come in to make some final decisions on the final fit-out for your building and any variations you may be after.

8. Building Begins

Earthworks and building begins. We will meet with you as needed to keep you up-to-date with progress and keep you informed every step of the way.

9. Final Inspection

A final council inspection is completed to get sign-off of your building. We collect a Certificate of Practical Completion, which means you can move into your building.

10. Key Handover

We give you the keys to your brand new building, along with any warranties and paperwork for any appliances or equipment inside it. It’s time to move in!
